Why I Teach Yoga & Meditation
I began my personal yoga and meditation practice in 2014, during a time when life felt completely overwhelming. I was anxious, burned out, and constantly trying to escape discomfort. Yoga and meditation didn’t change my life overnight—but they gave me the tools to face life differently.
At first, I thought yoga and meditation were just about stretching or calming down. Over time, I learned they’re really about presence—staying with yourself, even when things are hard. Some days, being on the mat means sitting with grief, frustration, or uncertainty—and not running from it. That’s been the most powerful shift for me: learning how to be with myself, exactly as I am.
Yoga and meditation haven’t “fixed” everything. But they’ve given me breath, space, and the ability to respond to life with more patience and kindness.
I teach because I know there are others out there carrying heavy things too. If I can help someone find even a moment of stillness or self-acceptance, that’s worth everything to me.
Accessible, Compassionate Yoga for All
I believe yoga and meditation should be available to everyone—not just those who can afford studio prices. That’s why I offer weekly classes at a sliding scale, with a minimum contribution of $10 per class. (For comparison, most studio classes cost $20–$30.)
Each class is designed to be engaging and grounded in self-discovery and compassion. I encourage curiosity over judgment, and I want people to experience yoga as something practical, playful, and personally meaningful.
If you’d like to support this mission, please consider making a donation. Your generosity helps keep these classes accessible for others.
Thank you for being here.
